Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– This October, DC Comics is bringing back Deadman, with a new three-issue prestige format series titled, “Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love.” Written by Sarah Vaughn with art by Lan Medina, the series focuses on Berenice, a “young woman with a conflicted heart and the ability to see ghosts.” She’s torn between her boyfriend, Nathan, and her best friend, Sam. “As she struggles with her heart’s desires, a dark presence settles over the mansion, drawing the attention of the ghostly superhero, Deadman.” Turns out, it’s Adelia Whitehall, who wants to kill just about everybody. The series will appear every other month.
– Hey, comics are a billion dollar industry again.
– Here’s Keiynan Lonsdale as Kid Flash, in costume. Also.
– While on the subject of The Flash, Mark Waid tweeted that DC has apparently cancelled the upcoming “Flash by Mark Waid” collection. A few hours later, he updated everyone that there was a miscommunication from Diamond. The book had been pushed back, which meant that the original orders had to all be cancelled in order to make way for the new resolicitation. If this was something that you preordered from your store, always a good idea to check the status of your order. Then maybe complain about Diamond a bit with the person working behind the counter.
– In June, we learned that DC had cancelled the remainder of Bryan Hitch’s “Justice League of America.” Well, much like with “The Flash by Mark Waid”, it seems to be another case of postponing and resoliciting. (Thanks, Diamond.) Well, the series has been uncancelled now, with “Justice League of America” #9 slated to appear in August.
