– Angourie Rice, who appeared in Shane Black’s “The Nice Guys” has been cast in “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” in an unknown role. The Australian actor is also known for her role in “These Final Hours”. She joins Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, and Michael Keaton in the Marvel movie directed by Jon Watts and written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Naturally, Kevin Feige is holding a tyrannical rule producing.

– One of the best things about summer is having the time to sit down and catch up on your reading. Over at Vulture, Kieron Gillen, Marjorie Liu, and Kate Leth have assembled a list of 20 comics to read at the beach or on your front porch in the shade at the park or wherever. Even if you’ve already read some of these titles, it’s always great to revisit old favorites.

– There’s a new Iron Man in town and she’s a 15-year-old black girl named Riri Williams. Created by obvious authority on the matter, Brian Michael Bendis, she’s a result of the events of “Civil War II” or something and apparently is unknown to Tony Stark. Expect her presence to increase across the Marvel Universe, though not by anyone who could potentially share her experiences, because Bendis already has an omniscient understanding of all cultures and humanities.

– Here’s something about Neal Adams or whatever.

– Eric Powell’s latest book is “Hillbilly” from Dark Horse. This new monthly series comes from his self-published imprint, Albatross Funnybooks.
