Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the weekend. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– This year, “Love and Rockets” is transitioning back to comic magazines. For the last several years, the seminal series from the Hernandez Brothers has been released as a collection of annual graphic novels. As the release date for the latest volume in the series gets closer, Los Bros Hernandez and Fantagraphics are starting up the promotional machine. Remezcla has this cool profile of the cartoonists and their impact on comics that’s worth your time.
– Fox Entertainment has grabbed the rights to Ben Hatke’s Graphix series, “Zita the Spacegirl.” It’s set to be adapted by Morgan Jurgenson and Alex Ankeles, responsible for projects like Hyperdrive, Subdivision, and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. There are three “Zita the Spacegirl” books out right now, all available at your local bookstore.
– Check out this profile on Michel Fiffe’s “COPRA,” the “Suicide Squad” book you didn’t know you needed.
– Also The Guardian has an interesting piece about comics censorship and the people who’ve strived to fight against it.
– Over at The Comics Journal, R. C. Harvey uses the release of Alex Raymond: An Artistic Journey — Adventure, Intrigue, and Romance to talk about Alex Raymond’s influence and legacy on comics. For instance, like how he was running three syndicated strips concurrently.
– ICv2 will be hosting an Insider Talks and Happy Hour forum at this year’s New York Comic Con. The event will feature Milton Griepp, Vivek J. Tiwary, Rob Salkowitz, and Karen Berger.
