– AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a seventh season. One of the most popular shows on cable and the biggest hit AMC’s ever had, this should come as a surprise to no one. Honestly, I think the bigger shocker would have been if Kirkman and Moore announced they were finally going to bring their series to a close. Anyway, Walking Dead fans will have 16 more episodes of post-apocalyptic zombie mayhem as well as 15 more episodes for Fear the Walking Dead.

– Speaking of AMC’s comic adaptations, the channel has released a trailer for the upcoming Preacher. The show stars Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga and has been developed by Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogan, and Sam Catlin. It’s ten-episode first season will premiere mid-2016.

– In honor of the spooky season, Paste Magazine assembled ten comics that you can share with your kids or cousins or nieces and nephews or students or whatever. There are some super legit books on that list (“Anya’s Ghost”! “Baba Yaga’s Assistant”!) that are worth reading regardless of your age.

– In a Reddit AMA, writer Cullen Bunn (“Harrow County,” “The Sixth Gun”) revealed why he left “Aquaman.” He says:

I actually quit the book before my first issue even came out. The reaction from fans was brutal and disheartening even before they read my first issue. My editor (who is great) asked me to stick with it, so I did. The fan reaction didn’t improve. This was such a different take on the character, a lot of diehard Aquaman fans couldn’t accept it. I was accused of not taking about the book, but every time I did, I got hate tweets and hate mail. I don’t need that, and it kind of made me loathe the character. In the end, I think this wasn’t the right story to tell with Aquaman, so I felt it was time for me to move on. Someone else can come on and be a hero.

– All right, so I just learned the Louvre (yes, the Louvre) has a publishing line for comics, and that they’ve been going since 2007. Anyway, one of their titles, “Guardians of the Louvre” by mangaka Jiro Taniguchi is set to get an English translation and release for May 2016. Zainab Akhtar has some awesome preview pages of it.

– On Friday, we asked you what you thought of the Supergirl pilot. The show dominated the ratings and we were fond of it.

A good number of you agreed! 41% of voters loved it, with 28% thinking it was promising. 8% of you were still willing to give it a few more chances to prove itself. However, 11% of voters declared that they didn’t watch it and they won’t watch it, though 8% figured they’d get around to it eventually.

Make sure to check back Friday for our next Weekly Readers’ Poll!

– Finally, in Webcomics Worth Clicking: Katie Rice’s camp comic, Camp Weedonwantcha is super fun, super silly, and filled with all kinds of great gags and an imminent danger just beyond the tree lines. Rice won the Penny Arcade Strip Search competition, and it’s pretty evident she used that time and money to create something engaging and entertaining.
