Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– “Sensation Comics” is coming to an end and David and Meredith Finch inexplicably remain on the main “Wonder Woman” title for the foreseeable future (which is a shame, a damned shame), but DC Comics has another book in the works for the Amazing Amazon. “The Legend of Wonder Woman” will be the latest in DC’s roster of digital-first comics, exploring the origins and backstory of the Princess of Themyscira. The 9-issue series will be written and illustrated by Renae de Liz and acts as a tie-in to the current DC Movie Universe, preparing peeps of her story “ahead of her big screen debut in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. I don’t know anything about her role in the Batman v. Superman movie, but it can’t be any worse than her portrayal in her current title from the Finches.
– For their January 2016 batch of themed variant covers, DC has gone for the Color Therapy route with Coloring Book covers. IGN has all 25 covers culled from the comicsphere. The current trend of adult coloring books — popularized by the works of illustrator Johanna Basford — are said to meditative and stress-relieving and are pretty fun. The designs feature plenty of intricate images and small, looping lines to I guess help you relax.
– Congratulations to Noelle Stevenson, who’s the youngest person to ever be nominated for a National Book Award. She’s received recognition on behalf of the collection of her webcomic, “Nimona.” Also cool: comics are getting nominated for major literary awards!
– Ales Kot has announced he’s cancelling “Material,” his Image book with Will Tempest, at #4. Well, kind of because they’re going to maybe pursue it as a series of OGNs instead.
– On her blog, Kate Leth wrote an indictment of the Diamond system of pre-ordering comics . Darryl Ayo had some points which I felt were spot-on, as well, especially about how publishers make it so new readers have to adjust to their expectations rather than trying out new methods of distribution and format. “How the heck would you know if the comic isn’t popular if you didn’t even put it out [yet]?” Ayo asks. I’ve never made secret my disdain of Diamond and I think as a comics community we need to figure out a better method of getting our books.
– On Friday we asked, Which of Last Week’s Announced/Rumored TV Series are You Most Excited About? The majority of you, a total 49% of voters, are stoked for “Y: The Last Man” as a series (as am I!). 29% of you thought “Moon Knight” would be awesome, while 9% of you remembered “The Boys.” Few seem to care about “Hellfire” though, as only 3% of the vote went to it. Regardless of whatever show makes it to series, you know you can expect coverage of it at MultiversityComics.com! And be sure to check back Friday for our next Weekly Readers’ Poll!
– Finally, in Webcomics Worth Clicking: any Chris Ware work is worth noting. Over this weekend, he did a cartoon editorial for The New York Times called “Why I Love Comics”. It’s sweet
