Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Comics superstar Becky Cloonan announced that she will be writing “The Punisher” for the All New All-Different (But Not Really) Marvel line. She’s joined by artist Steve Dillon to tell a story about a drug that’s creating “unstable super soldiers.” Cloonan has shown extraordinary range, from the shonen/superhero “Gotham Academy” with Brenden Fletcher and Karl Kerschl to the moody sci-fi thriller “Southern Cross” with Andy Belenger. This also isn’t her first work for Marvel Comics: she’s contributed to the genuinely interesting “Strange Tales” as well as “Nation X” and “Osborne.” No word on what project Cloonan is currently drawing, but it’s still cool to see her name on magazine covers.

– If you missed it, Netflix released a new trailer for their upcoming, Marvel’s Jessica Jones. The show stars Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23) as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter (American Horror Story) as Luke Cage, and Carrie-Anne Moss (Red Planet, oh and The Matrix) as Jeri Hogarth. All episodes are going to premiere on November 20th, 2015. As you’re waiting, check out this interview with Ritter from New York City Comic Con.

– Rest in peace, Murphy Anderson. Primarily an inker at DC Comics during the Silver Age, Anderson worked closely with Curt Swan on “Superman”. An artist in his own right, he co-created Zatanna along with Gardner Fox during the 1964 relaunch of “Hawkman.” Anderson was 89.

– French cartoonist Blutch’s 1996 adaptation of Satyrican, “Peplum” will be released in English translation from the New York Review of Books in April 2016.

– Over at Paste Magazine, Shea Hennum wonders why mainstream comics are still struggling with harassment. She offers some suggestions about how to end the cycle, but it’s disheartening that it’s still occurring. In 2015. But the best way to fix a problem is to address that there’s a problem in the first place.

– On Friday, we asked what you thought was the best “Star Wars” comic so far. Out 112 participants, 48 of you said Jason Aaron/John Cassaday/Stuart Immonen’s “Star Wars” was the best. 38 of you dig Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca’s work on “Darth Vader” while 10 of you think Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto’s “Shattered Empire” was what it’s all about. Even with duds like “Kanan” and “Lando” and “Chewbacca,” (which apparently no one likes best), the Marvel “Star Wars” line has produced some fun books. Make sure to check back next Friday for our next Weekly Reader’s Poll!

– Finally, in Webcomics Worth Clicking: “Buying Time” is a cyberpunk romance by Casey J. It follows a small worker trying to get lucky with this pretty guy a few levels above his own paygrade, and wondering about class disparity and discrepancy. It’s also features some wonderful animated artwork. Currently on hiatus, the comic returns in November, so there’s plenty of time to catch up.
