Teased over the past couple weeks, Image has finally announced their new superhero book from writers Jay Faerber and Brian Joines, artist Iliyas Kyriazis, and colorist Charlie Kirchoff.
“Secret Identities” will launch in February 2015 and it focuses on The Front Line, a group of superheroes who originally came together to save Earth from an alien invasion. According to the announcement over at CBR, the story begins when Crosswind joins The Front Line with the intention of tearing them apart from the inside because of an old grudge he still harbors.
We’ve talked a little bit about the work Faerber and Kyriazis have done previously, but it’s also cool to see Brian Joines coming aboard. He did some fun work last year with “Imagine Agents” from Boom!, and if he and Faerber can maintain that energy and drama, I think we’re in for a pretty solid superhero romp. From the interview, it also sounds like all parties involved are excited to be working on these characters and with this story.
Here are all the characters we’ve been introduced to, including the newcomer Crosswind.
