Make Mine Multiversity Episode 62: I Hate NYC. It’s Coarse, Rough, Irritating and Gets Everywhere

Welcome back to Make Mine Multiversity: A Marvel Podcast! Each episode we’ll be looking at Marvel books, old and new! We’ll be discussing those books, and also talking Marvel news, Marvel history and getting into the nitty gritty of what makes sand so integral to Moon Knight.

Make Mine Multiversity is a twice-monthly podcast that premieres on the first and third Friday of every month! What’s that? Last episode was on the fourth Friday? Maybe you just got sucked into an alternate NYC and thought it was that.

This month’s MMM book club is 2014’s “Moon Knight” by Jeff Lemire, Greg Smallwood, Jordie Bellaire, and Cory Petit as well as a bunch of other artists and colorists who get their time in the MMM sun. Egypt, alters, one giant asshole of a moon god, and space werewolves??? You best believe this series has it all and Jake & Elias are here to gush over it and introduce you to your new favorite Marvel hero: Mr. Knight. Fuck that tux is stylish.

Next month’s book club: We’re heading back to the 90s with “THUNDERBOLTS” by Kurt Busiek, with art primarily by Mark Bagley. We’ll be reading “Thunderbolts Classic, Vol. 1” which contains – wait for it – “Thunderbolts” (1997) #1-5; “Thunderbolts: Distant Rumblings” #-1; “Thunderbolts Annual” ’97; “Incredible Hulk” #449; “Spider-Man Team-Up” #7; and material from “Tales of the Marvel Universe” #1.

Make Mine Multiversity Episode 134: Castaway in Dimension JRJR

    By and | Mar 1, 2024 | Podcasts

We're doing it folks. We've finally read one of the bugbears in the MMM canon: 'Castaway in Dimension Z' aka the first ten issues of Rick Remender's 2012 "Captain America" run. We do a recap on all things Remender, JRJR, and Cap once more before talking about this very divisive arc. Will Elias admit it's not as good as he thought it was? Will Jaina find more worth in it (and in the art?) Listen on, true believers!
