In anticipation of the return of Ulysses Sweet in next week’s oversized Prog 2014, the droids over at 2000 AD saw fit to pass along a little bit of history to get us all good and in the mood for the giant-sized mag. You see, back in 1987, this young up-and-comer by the name of Grant Morrison, along with artist Collin MacNeil, helped bring Ulysses Sweet into the world. By my count, Sweet made all of three appearances in the pages of 2000 AD. And now, 26 years after his creation, the Maniac-For-Hire is returning! If you missed the last two strips we ran, those are here and here. This is the last of three strips we’ll be presenting you.
This installment sees Ulysses helping Vegetable Liberation Front rescue the Potato King of Plinn. Last chapter, the dreaded Monsieur Fear appeared on the scene to thwart Sweet and his new comrades. Let’s see how that’s working out for everyone, shall we?
