When you think of Dark Horse, one of the first iconic characters to pop into your mind, if you’re anything like me, is Grendel. The character, a staple of indie comics since 1983, has returned in “”Grendel: Devil’s Odyssey,” which continues to build the mythology in some really interesting and surprising ways. We talked with Wagner, as well as his son, colorist Brennan, at New York Comic Con in October, and it’s a fantastic look into the series. Speaking of that series, we are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the fourth issue, which hits stores on March 18th.

Written and illustrated by Matt Wagner
Colored by Brennan Wagner
Lettered by Dave Lanphear

With his home planet possibly destroyed, has Grendel Prime discovered a new home for humanity’s rebirth-or has he found an icy, permanent tomb for himself and Sigma-7? Far in space, an intelligent alien race holds a startling secret that Prime is about to uncover!

Thanks to Dark Horse for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue next week!
