Pop Mhan, artist on “Raven: Daughter of Darkness,” is doing some really interesting stuff on the book. Consider this preview, where the first two pages are in a far simpler, more retro-style, reflecting work from the 70s and 80s. But then, on page three, the work explodes into his more familiar territory. This is all done in service of the story, which really benefits from his creative expressions.

Much like last issue, here we see the beginnings of a new Night Force established, continuing to bring Raven into new and interesting parts of the DC Universe. We are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the eighth issue of this miniseries, due out on September 26th.

Cover by Cully Hamner
Written by Marv Wolfman

The mystical manhunters known only as the Shadow Riders want the young arcanes surrounding Raven for their next prey. And they are all too successful: one of them dies! Introducing…the beginning of a brand-new Night Force.

Thanks to DC for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday!
