On Friday, we asked our readers what their favorite Marvel TV show of the Jeph Loeb-era was, in celebration of the debut of Helstrom, of which you can read our first review here. In full disclosure, I expected Agent Carter to top the tally, as so many folks remember that show’s brief run very fondly, but it didn’t even crack our top three.
Daredevil, the first of the Marvel Netflix series, topped the list with 31.8% of the vote. Reviews of subsequent seasons would be mixed, but when that show debuted, there was a palpable excitement around the series that was unlike any of the other series listed here, so it doesn’t surprise me that it did so well.
21.2% of you celebrated the recently departed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., whose longevity was truly unique in this era, where no other show got more than 3 seasons, with a few receiving just one. 15.2% voted for Jessica Jones, good enough for third place.
Agent Carter came in fourth with 13.6% of the vote.
Check back on Friday for the next reader poll!
