On Friday, we asked our readers what their favorite of DC’s infinite universes was their favorite. Seventeen of our options got at least one vote, but three stood out as being the clear favorites.
Taking first place with 19% was the classic pre-“Crisis” Earth-2, featuring the Golden Age heroes aging in, more or less, real time. While these characters have been in lots of books over the past 38 years, we haven’t had a true book set on this Earth-2 in quite some time. I would personally love to see that, especially if DC kept the aging consistent, and so we’re talking about Infinity, Inc being middle aged heroes at this point.
11.9% of you are fans of the comics set in the DC Animated Universe. While these books aren’t out month in and month out, there have been a fair share of titles set in this setting, going back to the ‘Adventures’ series of books set there.
In third place was Darwyn Cooke’s “New Frontier” Earth (Earth-21). If you don’t know that world, quit your web browser, go to your local comic shop and rectify this right away.
