Reader Poll: What is the Best Comic Version of Frankenstein and/or His Monster?

This year marks the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, one of the most important novels of all time. The book has launched more plays, films, television series, and, for our purposes, comics than nearly any other single novel. Beyond strict adaptations, the Monster has appeared in countless comics, from joining superhero teams to starring in his own series.

So, we’ve picked some of our favorite adaptations, characters, and derivations from Shelley’s work, and we want to know: which comics version works best for you? Vote in our poll, and then sound off in the comments.

Note: We know we aren’t even close to being comprehensive or complete with our list. We try to balance between offering too many choices and not enough, and eleven seemed like a fair place to stop. If we’ve ignored your favorite version, we apologize, and school us in the comments on what we’ve been missing out on.
