New York Comic Con, the East Coast’s largest comics and pop culture event of the year, happened two weeks ago. Multiversity brought 15 staffers to the convention this year for interviews, panel reports, and more. Over the next month or so, we’ll be sharing all of our experiences here on the site. So, even if you couldn’t make it yourself, you can see the con through our eyes.

Liana Kangas and Katy Rex are the team behind the “Tyranny Rex” story in the “2000 AD Sci-Fi Special,” released earlier this summer. The issue was the first ever 2000 AD book done by an entirely female creative team, which seems like something that is happening about 30 years too late. Rex and Kangas talked about working on the book before ever meeting, and what the issue means to them.

Thanks to 2000 AD, Katy, and Liana for making this interview happen. The “2000 AD Sci-Fi Special” is available now.
