Comics master Joe Kubert died this past Sunday at age 85. He leaves behind a lifetime’s worth of amazing, genre-spanning stories, two amazingly talented sons, Andy and Adam, and the legendary Kubert School, the first institution dedicated solely to the art form of comics and storytelling.
We’ve seen a number of touching memorials over the last three days, so we’ll forego reiterating what everyone else is saying already. Instead, as part of our Artist August celebration, we’d like to present a small tribute to Joe Kubert and his unparalleled work as a cover artist for DC Comics.
