Yes that’s right folks, the “Ms. Marvel” creator G. Willow Wilson is coming back to DC beginning this December to be the writer on the ongoing “Wonder Woman” title with artist Cary Nord. DC made the announcement on DC All Access in an interview with Co-Publisher Dan DiDio. The announcement begins at about the 5:10 minute mark:

Wilson and Nord will take over the series following a guest arc from Steve Orlando and ACO, themselves following a run by James Robinson, Stephen Segovia, and co. The first arc of their run will be called ‘The Just War’ which you can find a description of below:

When Steve Trevor’s unit goes missing in an Eastern European country torn by revolution, Wonder Woman immediately flies across the globe to help him—only to slam into the brick wall that is Ares, the God of War, who’s taken a strange interest in this conflict. But why is Ares acting so strange? Has he turned over a new leaf? Does Wonder Woman have a chance to redeem him? And just as important…if Ares has returned to Earth, then what happened to the supposedly unbreachable prison built to contain him—Wonder Woman’s homeland, Themyscira?

Wilson did work at DC before in the late ’00s on a Vixen miniseries, “Vixen: Return of the Lion,” with artist CAFU (Carlos Alberto Fernandez Urbano). She also penned a couple issues of “Superman” during the ‘Grounded’ arc, as well as an “Outsiders” one-shot with Joshua Middleton. Over at Vertigo, Wilson created the Eisner-nominated series “Air,” as well as the graphic novel “Cairo,” with artist M.K. Perker. Wilson signed an exclusive contract with Marvel in 2014, and in that time co-created Kamala Khan as well as other series like “A-Force.” Nord is coming off working on The New Age of Heroes titles “The Unexpected” and “Damage.”

Wilson also confirmed on Twitter that she would not be leaving Marvel, assumedly meaning she will continue writing duties on “Ms. Marvel.”

Wilson and Nord will take over with issue #58 out on November 14th.
