Marvel Comics announced a number of new titles in addition to giving information on new arcs for running ones at their Next Big Thing Panel this afternoon at New York Comic-Con. The company revealed four new titles, shelled out some details on the upcoming “Incoming” issue closing out 2019, and looks at “Immortal Hulk,” “Venom,” and more:
– Al Ewing and Juann Cabal were announced to be relaunching “Guardians of the Galaxy” starting in January, picking up on threads from “Avengers: No Road Home” as the Guardians take on the reborn Dark Gods of Olympus.
– “Tony Stark: Iron Man,” which is set to end, will lead into the six-issue “Iron Man 2020” from Dan Slott, Christos Gage, and Pete Woods, which sees Tony’s brother Arno assume the mantle.
– Alex Ross and Jim Krueger are reuniting for “Marvels X,” a prequel to their “Earth X” story, which will feature art by Velibor Stanojevic.
– And finally, it was revealed that Donny Cates, Nic Klein, and Matt Wilson will be taking the reigns of “Thor” after Jason Aaron’s long seven-year run, as they relaunch the title in January.
Our own Kate Kosturski was on hand at the panel live-tweeting the event from our Multiversity Comics Twitter account. You can check out the entire thread of her coverage below.
