In case you missed it, Mike Mignola announced “Our Encounters With Evil,” a new OGN with Warwick Johnson-Cadwell, and a “Witchfinder Omnibus” for November. Dynamite Entertainment also announced two new series, “Warlord of Mars Attacks” and “Red Sonja: Birth of the She-Devil.”

– Bryan Hitch has announced his plans to leave “Hawkman” after issue #12. His Twitter post claimed that he had hoped to break the news before solicitations were released, announcing Will Conrad will illustrate June’s issue #13. He has also confirmed that he is signed on for two projects for DC Comics that are slated to release this year.
– “X-23” scribe Mariko Tamaki will join the creative team of “Archie” for two issues starting with issue #706. The rest of the team is comprised of “Amazing Spider-Man” writer Nick Spencer and “Batman ’66” artist Sandy Jarrell.
– Marvel announced a new one-shot called “Spider-Man: Reptilian Rage.” Written by Ralph Macchio (“Ant-Man and The Wasp: Living Legends”) and illustrated by Christopher Allen (“Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp Prelude”), the issue will be an untold story about high-school aged Peter Parker as he faces off against The Lizard.
– After a tease made last January, “Tokyo Ghoul” creator Sui Ishida has announced the title of his new project, “Jack Jeanne.” Little is known about the project, but a teaser video was released showing seven characters in formal wear.
– The cast of the upcoming Netflix show Warrior Nun is growing as Alba Baptista (Leviano) has been cast in the leading role of Ava. Toya Turner, Tristan Ulloa, Thekla Reuten, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Lorena Andrea, and Emilio Sakraya have also been cast in recurring roles for the upcoming drama based on Ben Dunn’s “Warrior Nun Areala” comic series.
– Finally, Florence Pugh (The Little Drummer Girl) is reportedly in talks to star opposite of Scarlet Johansson in the upcoming Black Widow standalone film. If cast, Pugh would play a spy of similar skill level to that of Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff.
