– Kicking off, the news broke earlier that Marvel mainstay Brian Michael Bendis is making his way to DC Comics for the foreseeable future. There was much hubbub about the move today including statements from Marvel Comics themselves, Marvel CCO Joe Quesada, as well as a multitude of other industry professionals and comic folk. We at Multiversity have compiled our speculation of what comes next for Bendis at DC here. We’ll have more info as it comes.

– Last week it was revealed that Image Comics was cultivating an anthology comic to benefit the victims of the Las Vegas shooting, however in the wake of yet another mass shooting at a church in Texas this weekend, another group of over two dozen comic creators are cultivating their own anthology comic to benefit an as yet unknown charity. Those involved include the likes of Kevin Nowlan, Fred van Lente, and Tony Isabella.

– “Dark Nights: Metal” is the most heavy metal event DC has ever produced, and is soon to get its own soundtrack. Composers Tyler Bates and Mike Elizando provided a look at the upcoming soundtrack on DC All Access today.  The work currently doesn’t have a release date, but surely will drop before the event ends in March. “Batman Lost” #1 an essential tie-in for “Metal” drops today.

Aftershock Comics’ “Rough Riders” are returning for their third arc in February. “Rough Riders: Ride or Die” from Adam Glass and Patrick Olliffe returns and follows President Teddy Roosevelt and his team as they take on a force from beyond the grave. The title is Aftershock’s longest running title.

– When Justice League drops next week on November 17th make sure to stick around for the credits as actor Aquaman actor Jason Mamoa has revealed the film has an after credits scene. This marks only the second DCEU movie after Suicide Squad to include after credits scene. Will Darkseid make his debut?

– Netflix’s next live-action anime adaptation ERASED revealed its first poster today with the reveal that the movie will hit the streaming service on December 15th. The live-action property will adapt the entire manga and epilogue which follows the story of 29-year old manga artist Satoru as he learns he can turn back time to before tragic events in his life occurred. This is Netflix’s second live-action anime adaptation following Death Note with more to come in 2018.

– Scottish publishers 404 Ink and BHP Comics are putting together an anthology titled “We Shall Fight Until We Win”, celebrating the centennial anniversary of women getting the right to vote in the UK in 1918. The anthology will be published in June 2018, and the company is still compiling creators before the project goes to pre-order on Kickstarter in January.

– Cartoonist Andy Riley developed repetitive strain injury (RSI) in 2010, but after years of surgeries is finally back to drawing, he revealed in an interview which you can find here. The cartoonist is known for his work on “The Book of Bunny Suicides” as well as being one of the writers on the Miramax film Gnomeo and Juliet.
