The team here at Multiversity got to get a preview look at “Nightwing” #66, which hits shelves tomorrow. We also got to interview Cecil Castellucci on “Female Furies,” and sat down with Henry Barajas to discuss Latinx and Indigenous activism in his comic “La Voz de M.A.Y.O.”

– The Incredibles have a new miniseries coming to Dark Horse Comics from writer Christos Gage, artist Jean Claudio Vinci, and colorist Dan Jackson. “Incredibles 2: Slow Burn” will mainly focus around Dash and a new villain known as Slow Burn. Issue #1 hits shelves February 5, 2020.
– Writer Brian Joines and artist Jake Elphick have a new series called “Backtrack.” The series is a road race that not only takes the protagonist and the other competitors across the country, but across time as well! Dinosaurs, barbarian hordes, and the unknown of the far future will appear on the backdrop of a cross-country road race. The book was originally intended to be released by Lion Forge before the merger this year, and will now begin publication at Oni Press in February.
– The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that for now Warner Bros. will not be releasing director Zack Snyder’s cut of the 2017 film Justice League. Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and former Batman actor Ben Affleck both made tweets in favor of the release, but insiders told the Reporter “no announcement of a release of any such cut is imminent.”
Here are the current release dates for DC’s upcoming film releases: Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey, which will feature Harley Quinn, will be released Feb 7, 2020. Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman 1984 arrives June 5, 2020. James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is slated for Aug 6, 2021, Matt Reeves’s The Batman will be in theaters June 25, 2021, and Black Adam with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson arrives December 22, 2021.
– Hulu has made an announcement that season 3 of the Marvel show Runaways will be its final season. In the last season the team will have their hands full as they search for their captured friends Chase, Gert, and Karolina, while also going up against a powerful enemy who has targeted Leslie Dean and the baby she is carrying. Nico will draw them into the dark realm whose ruler is infamous and nefarious, and Tandy and Ty from the series Cloak and Dagger will make an appearance to give the team a helping hand. All 10 episodes of the final season of Runaways will available on Hulu Friday, December 13th.
