In case you missed it, the lawsuit filed by Dwayne McDuffie’s widow Charlotte Fullerton over unpaid royalties from the company he co-founded, Milestone Media, has been resolved. Also, Dark Horse have announced “X-Ray Robot,” a new project from Mike and Laura Allred with Nate Piekos; we talked to “Nomen Omen” writer Marco B. Bucci; and we have an exclusive preview of tomorrow’s “Detective Comics” #1017.

– BOOM! Studios have announced “Seen: True Stories of Marginalized Trailblazers,” a graphic novel series set to showcase important historical figures who aren’t found in traditional textbooks, but deserve to be remembered for their contributions to humanity and their inarguable strength and courage in the face of impossible odds. The series will be published through the company’s award-winning BOOM! Box imprint, with each original graphic novel spotlighting a different trailblazer who changed the course of history.

“Seen: True Stories of Marginalized Trailblazers” will involve contributors such as Jasmine Walls, Bex Glendining, Birdie Willis, Rii Abrego, Anthony Oliveira, and Killian Ng. The first book in the series, “Seen: Edmonia Lewis,” from Jasmine Walls and Bex Glendining, will be available in September 2020, and show how Lewis changed America by becoming the first sculptor of African-American and Native American heritage to earn international acclaim.

– Bleeding Cool reports Artists, Writers and Artisans, the new publishing company headed by Axel Alonso and Bill Jemas, is preparing for its official launch in 2020. The four launch titles are “The Resistance” by J. Michael Staczynski and Mike Deodato Jr, “Hotell” by John Lees and Dalibor Talajić, “Archangel 8” by Michael Moreci and C.P. Smith, and “Red Border” by Jason Starr and Will Conrad. To find out more about these books, visit Bleeding Cool.

– In a press release, Vault Comics announced that former “Justice League” editor Rebecca Taylor will be Managing Editor of their Myriad imprint. Beginning in Fall 2020, Myriad will publish fantasy and science fiction graphic novels for children and teens. Taylor has opened submissions for the Myriad line, encouraging creators to submit fun and exciting science-fiction and fantasy stories geared toward young readers. Submissions can be made here. Newsarama also reported Marvel will be moving its offices in Manhattan from 135 West 50th Street to 1290 Sixth Avenue, which opened for business Monday morning. Marvel had been at its previous location from 2010 until last week.

– Comicbook.com reports that Warner Bros. is now working on a Wonder Woman spinoff featuring the Amazons of Themyscira. And while Patty Jenkins won’t be directing the spinoff, she’ll serve as an executive producer. There’s no information on when the Wonder Woman Themyscira spinoff will take place or what actors will be involved in the production. Wonder Woman 1984 drops June 5, 2020.

– With award season around the corner, several comic book based movies have nabbed nominations. Joker has been nominated for four Golden Globe awards. According to The Hollywood Reporter the film was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Director (Todd Phillips), Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama (Joaquin Phoenix) and Best Original Score (Hildur Guonadóttir). Rounding out the award news, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame received three Critic’s Choice Awards nominations, including Best Visual Effects, Best Action Movie and Best Sci-Fi or Horror Movie.
