– Yes, we’re all excited for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and Lucasfilm/Disney knows that and they are going to exploit that. So here’s a handy list of all the Star Wars related books coming out in December, including a new thing from Greg Rucka and Phil Noto.

Guillermo del Toro revealed that he and Hideo Kojima had hired Junji Ito to help develop the look of their now-cancelled video game, Silent Hills. While it sucks big time that this game never got to see the light of day, the remnants of its development remain awesome.

– Over at The Comics Journal, Paul Tumey created this neat list of Cartoonists and Creators who push the medium in new and interesting directions. There are a lot of baller comics on this list and the examples Tumey puts out look super cool. My reading list just expanded even more.

– Retailers: Boom! has streamlined the Boom! Innovator Retailer Reward Plan.

– On Friday, we asked What Genre of Comics is Due for a Resurgence? It was close, but 18% of you would like to see Romance Comics come back. 17% would like to see Fantasy. And 13% thought we could do with more horror comics. Commenter Chris put it best: “…all the books I read belong to at least one of those genres or [are] a mash[-up] of [sic].” Anyway, be sure to check back Friday for our next Weekly Readers Poll!

– Finally, in Webcomics Worth Clicking: I’ve been caught up in “Demon” by Jason Shiga. I’m not sure how to explain it, or if I even like it all that much, even as I keep coming back to it to see what happens. It’s like those manga series (e.g. “Death Note”) that you aren’t sure what to make of, but are addicting nonetheless. It has a novel concept and some interesting art and it’s totally engaging and crazy, if a little gratuitous and mathematical.
