Today at DC and New York Comic Con’s Meet the Publishers panel, Brian Michael Bendis announced he will curate Wonder Comics, a new imprint focused on the company’s teenage superheroes. Starting the line this January will be a new “Young Justice” title, written by Bendis with art by Patrick Gleason (“Superman”), which will feature Impulse (Bart Allen), Superboy (Conner Kent), and Robin (Tim Drake), among many others.

Art by Jamal Campbell.

Other titles in the first wave will include:

  • “Naomi,” written by Bendis and David Walker (“Cyborg”), with art by Jamal Campbell (“Supergirl”).
  • “Wonder Twins,” written by Mark Russell (“The Flintstones”) and illustrated by Stephen Byrne (“Justice League/Power Rangers”).
  • “Dial H for Hero,” from writer Sam Humphries (“Harley Quinn”) and artist Joe Quinones (“Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell”).
  • According to CBR, Bendis told the crowd at NYCC that “These characters mean a lot to each other personally. Some of them not in this continuity, so they’re gonna meet each other for the first time.” He spoke about how excited he was to bring back Conner Kent, who had been absent from the ‘Rebirth’ era following the introduction of Jon Kent as Superboy. He also revealed the book’s roster would include a Teen Lantern, and Ginny Hex, “the great, great, great, great, granddaughter of Jonah Hex,” who will debut in the next issue of “Batman 100-Page Giant.”
