This past weekend was New York Comic Con, the East Coast’s largest comics and pop culture event of the year. Multiversity brought 15 staffers to the convention this year for interviews, panel reports, and more. Over the next month or so, we’ll be sharing all of our experiences here on the site. So, even if you couldn’t make it yourself, you can see the con through our eyes.

Our second interview of the day is Tee Franklin. Kate chatted with Tee about her new miniseries from Image, “Jook Joint,” a deeply personal tale for Tee about domestic violence that has a horror-filled twist, as well as her breakout hit graphic novel, “Bingo Love.”

Thanks to Tee for the opportunity to chat, and make sure to pick up “Jook Joint” #1 at your local comic shop today.  All proceeds from the variant cover of “Jook Joint” #1 by Mike Hawthorne will go to the Joyful Heart Foundation, a charity dedicated to transforming the response to sexual assault and domestic violence, supporting survivors’ healing, and ultimately ending domestic violence forever.  The expanded edition of “Bingo Love” will be out in November, with a sequel due in 2020.
