Burpee’s Got You Covered!

A small week in comics results in the shortest list since the inception of this article. Don’t let the fact that it’s a smaller list than usual fool you into thinking these comics were selected only because of the limited choices available this week. The covers on this list caught my attention and would have made the list regardless of how many other comics were released in the week in which they were released.

So check out my choices after the jump!

1. Avengers: The Origin #3 by Philip J. Noto

Ok, so I lied. There is only one cover on the list this week. It is my favorite cover from this week. I love the way Philip Noto used the reflective surface of the Ant-Man suit. It looks great and really makes the cover stand out to the eyes when you’re looking at it. While other covers were out this week that I enjoyed this one was the only one that seemed to demand I put it on this list.

Well, that’s it fanpeeps. A small week for books results in the first ever Burpee’s Got You Covered with only one cover for the week.

Alright, so here are the updated rankings for the cover artists. The number to the right of the name is how many times each artist has made the list. While there are more artists these listed below are the ones that fill the top3 positions. We have a tie for that third position so as of now there are four on the list. I did include the artists that Walt and Gil chose when tallying this list. For that reason Bachalo made the jump and tied for third.

Adi Granov — 11
David Finch — 6
Adam Kubert — 4
Chris Bachalo — 4
