After taking Father’s Day off i’m back! This weeks list surprisingly is lacking two factors fairly consistent with this list. There are no Marvel covers and none of the usuals make a trip to awesome cover town. Instead we get some titles who don’t normally appear. So without the usuals what do we have? Check it out after the jump to find out!

1. Green Arrow #1
by Mauro Casciloi

I thought this was a great looking cover. It really stands out and has an iconic vibe to it. Great cover to have on a first issue without a doubt. I really like Cascioli’s realistic looking work.

2. Power Girl #13
by Sami Basri

The color palette on this really helps the cover tremendously. While the figure of Power Girl isn’t terrible it isn’t amazing either. Though when you throw in the fantastic sunset colors in the background to add to the softer looking art style it really makes the whole cover just pop. It especially pops out when sitting next to many of the other dark or edgy comics.

3. Joe the Barbarian #6
by Sean Murphy

Murphy really is a brilliant artist. I am really interested in seeing what he does to follow this up. I hope it is with another artist who could really utilize his talent to the full extent. While nota mind blowing artistic cover it’s still hard to look at this cover and not realize what a talent Murphy is. The details are the kicker.

4. Fringe: Tales From The Fringe #1
by Diego Latorre

I love the way this cover catches and utilizes elements of the show fans would recognize but the way in which it just looks awesome to the standard passer by with no knowledge. It has that sci-fi feel to it that is kind of spooky yet intriguing.

Thems are the picks for the week lads and ladettes. What do you think? What were some of your favorite covers this week? Agree or disagree with my picks? Hit the comments up and let me the others know.

Meanwhile, check out the artist standings. For those of you new to this article the list below consists of the artists who have graced this list the most. You’ll find their ranking to the left, as decided by # of appearances, and the # of appearances to the right. No change this week as Granov remains in a very safe position.

1. Adi Granov — 11
2. David Finch — 7
3. Adam Kubert — 4
3. Chris Bachalo — 4
