Burpee’s Got You Covered!

Another week where there weren’t a lot to choose from in my opinion but the #1 this week is one of the best covers to hit the shelves in some time ladies and gents. Who’s the artist? What’s the title? Why don’t you quit asking questions and step into my parlor to find out? Oh yeah and maybe there’s a new top three…

2. X-Men: Legacy #238

by Lenil Yu

I love this cover because A) it looks great and B) this is Lenil Yu stepping up his game, which is amazing. Yu is already one of the best in the industry as far as I’m concerned so seeing him evolve and show some diversity that still looks great is fantastic. I do though continue to wonder why Magneto needed to get some grabby with his hands. Couldn’t he have protected her with like a magnetic field instead of a Magneto feel? Just asking.

1. Abe Sapien: Abyssal Plain #2
by Dave Johnson

This is by far the coolest looking cover this week. Well designed, well colored and overall just simply badass. If there’s a better cover out there this week than I’d like someone to show it to me. This is one of those covers that is almost more an art piece than it is

Alright, so maybe I lied about there being a new top three. It’s technically true though as we now have a three way tie for third place as Dave Johnson moves into the ranks with his cover this week bringing him his fourth visit to the list. Can he move into third all his own? Stay tuned…

1. Adi Granov — 13
2. David Finch — 9
3. Adam Kubert — 4
3. Chris Bachalo — 4
3. Dave Johnson — 4
