— Tim Seeley shared on Twitter an exclusive “Money Shot” comic created for Playboy. Available online, “Money Shot: Pleasure Planet” sees the intrepid crew encountering an entity that gives new meaning to the phrase “big love.”
— Dark Horse has struck a deal to publish comiXology Originals “Stone Star Volume 1,” by Jim Zub, Max Dunbar, and Marshall Dillon; and “Lost on Planet Earth,” by Magdalene Visaggio, Claudia Aguirre, and Zakk Saam. “Stone Star Volume 1” will be released in print in July 2021, and “Lost on Planet Earth” will be released in August 2021. — DC plans to reschedule its previously announced “Wonder Women of History,” according to a message to retailers. Originally scheduled for a December 1 release, DC is pushing the non-fiction anthology to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Wonder Woman’s first appearance next year. It also will have a name change to “Wonderful Women of History.” Women portrayed in the anthology include Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Marsha P. Johnson, Janelle Monae, and more.
— The Beat reported another round of layoffs set to take place at DC and WarnerMedia. DC already went through a significant round of cuts back in August, letting go several prominent executives and members of the editorial team. The layoffs at WarnerMedia follow a lukewarm launch of HBO Max and release of Christopher Nolan’s Tenant, among other issues.
— Zack Snyder tweeted out a link to a Justice League t-shirt designed by Alex Pardee, giving fans a first look at Darkseid. The shirt is available as part of a campaign to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. As of Snyder’s tweet, the campaign has raised over $430,000. The shirt is still available, but only for a short time.
— Danielle Brooks is joining the cast of HBO Max’s Peacemaker, the Suicide Squad spinoff, according to Deadline. The Orange is the New Black star will play Leota Adebayo in the series that explores the origins of Peacemaker, played by John Cena.
— Finally, per a press release, DJ and producer Don Diablo’s sci-fi action adventure series “Hexagon” will launch this month. The first three episodes of the comic, written with Michael Moreci and penciled by Jheremy Raapack, will be available starting November 16, with new episodes following every Wednesday. It will be available on the Webtoon app, as well as at Webtoon.com. “Hexagon” was previously announced during New York Comic Con in 2019.
