In case you missed it, the Gold Titles for Free Comic Book Day 2019 were announced, while IDW unveiled a “GLOW” adaptation, and Dark Horse announced “Astro Hustle.”

– The Peter Parker from the PS4 Spider-Man video game is coming to the printed page in March. Marvel’s “Spider-Man: City At War,” written by Dennis Hopeless with art by Michele Bandini, will adapt this Peter Parker’s struggle against Mister Negative into a six-issue series.

– IDW and Hasbro announced a new anthology collection for March titled “Synergy: A Hasbro Creators Showcase.” The book will be written, illustrated and edited by women only celebrating Hasbro characters from properties like “My Little Pony,” “Jem and the Holograms,” “Transformers,” and “G.I. Joe.”

“Exiles” from writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Javier Rodríguez will soon be coming to an end. Ahmed announced on his Twitter page that issue #12 (out in January), will be the final issue of the series.

– Grammy Award-nominee Dua Lipa announced via Twitter she is working on a new single, “Swan Song,” for the upcoming Alita: Battle Angel movie. The movie’s producer Jon Landau chose to include Lipa based on her video for her song “New Rules” for her “kick-ass strength, power, and attitude.”

– DC Universe added another member of the Golden Age Justice Society to the Stargirl cast. Henry Thomas (E.T., The Haunting of Hill House) joins the cast as the Golden Age Dr. Mid-Nite along side Joel McHale as Starman and Lou Ferrigno Jr. as Hourman.

– The Utah Film Critics Association awarded Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse with their Best Picture of the Year honor. The group of 18 Utah-based film journalists voted for the animated feature as their top pick overall for 2018, giving it a total of 13 awards thus far.

– Several teases for the upcoming Hellboy movie appeared on IGN, which revealed the first movie poster, and announced that Thursday December 20th is the release date for the first trailer.

– Image’s “Copperhead” is going on hiatus prior to the planned finale due to production delays. Jay Faerber and Scott Godlewski decided to cancel the currently solicited issues of their “Deadwood in space” story until the arc is finished and can be released in a timely manner.

– Beginning in 2019, Diamond Comics Distribution is moving the release of their digital Previews data from the second-to-last Wednesday of the month to the Friday of the same week. They are also asking publishers to push back their soliciting information later also to prevent new pepreoders from leaking into the “current selling cycle.”
