I feel spoiled by having a creative team on a superhero book remain consistent throughout the entirety of its first year. It’s a rarity now that a team doesn’t change inker, colorist, letterer or, hell, even the penciler or writer, by the end of the first arc but to have every position consistent on all twelve issues? Pinch me, I must be dreaming.

“Bog Bodies”

The bogs of Ireland are deceptive. On the surface, they’re serene and solid, no different from the land around it, but one false move and that land gives out and all you’re left with is a horrible sinking feeling. One wrong step, that’s all it takes for your whole life to come crashing down around you. A single error and all that was once safe is hostile, with little chance of recovery.

Hub City. A cesspool of crime. Filled with all the characters you’d expect. A corrupt, alcoholic mayor. An even more corrupt, uncaring police force. A deacon with delusions of grandeur. And then there’s our hero. A reporter who tells the truth, no bullshit. Sharp as a whip. An asshole to the tenth degree, with hubris and a penchant for violence to match.

Three years ago, the final issue of "Nailbiter" hit the stands, wrapping up the story of the Buckaroo Butchers. But as any horror fan knows, you can't keep a good slasher down and the town of Buckaroo calls us once again. In preparation for the June 3rd launch, we had a chat with the masters of the macabre themselves, Joshua Williamson and Mike Henderson, about all things "Nailbiter Returns," especially about the large volume of eyes on the cover.
